Mr.  Hochschild  lead the  implementation  of the  Secretary-General’s   Roadmap  on Digital Cooperation in closeconsultation with Member States, the technology industry, civil society and  other stakeholders.  The  Envoy complement  ongoing technology-related efforts  in relevant bodies and entities within theUnited Nations system.
	 
	Mr. Hochschild most recentlysupported the Secretary-General in coordinating the preparations for the commemoration of the Organization’s seventy-fifth anniversary. In thiscapacity, he continued to support the Secretary-General on issues related to frontier technologies and the follow-up tothe High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation.
	 
	 He brings diversified seniorleadership experience, both at Headquarters and in the field,having served as Assistant Secretary-General for Strategic Coordination in the Executive Office of theSecretary-General, Deputy Special Representative for the United Nations Multidimensional IntegratedStabilization Mission in the Central AfricanRepublic (MINUSCA), United Nations Resident Coordinator, HumanitarianCoordinator and Resident Representativeof the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Colombia; Director of the Field Personnel Division in the then Department of Field Supportin New York; and as Chief of Field Operations and Technical Cooperation in the Office of the HighCommissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva.
	 
	 He began his UnitedNations career in 1988 with the Officeof the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)in Sudan and served in subsequent postingswith UNHCR, the UnitedNations Relief and Works Agencyfor Palestine Refugeesin the Near East (UNRWA), the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs(OCHA) and in United Nations peacekeeping.
	 
	 Mr. Hochschild is a graduateof the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. He is fluent in English, French, German and Spanish.
